Hiring A Room

The Friends Meeting House, a couple of minutes’ walk from the town centre, sits in its small quiet garden. We have three rooms of different sizes supported by a kitchen and car park. There is Wifi throughout the building. There is a good quality projector that users may hire. Our rooms are let by morning, afternoon and evening sessions. There are two rates for each room, one for businesses and the other for community groups. These are shown in our list of charges.

Main Hall: A downstairs room with level access and seating for 50 people. There is large blank wall space for projection. The room has a light and roomy feel. Good for Pilates and popular for talks.

Wyn’s Room: (upstairs) Access is by shallow stairway and the room seats 30 people. A quiet, private and comfortable room, popular with small groups, presentations, and one-to-one conversations.

Small Meeting Room: Downstairs room with level access and seating for 10 people. It has a serving hatch to the kitchen. It is popular for discussion groups and committee meetings but is not a particularly private space.

Making a booking
To make a booking check its availability of the room on the Meeting House Calendar and email the room, date and time you would like to book. However, if this is your first booking you will need to provide some extra information to enable us set up an account on our Hallmaster booking system.
